My name is Dr. John Crane and I am the director of robotic surgery at Banner McKee Medical center. About 6.5 years ago I went to bed on a Tuesday night, as usual, then awoke on Wednesday with uncontrollable pain in my low right back and down my right leg. I knew I had ruptured a disc, but I had to get on a plane for Sunnyvale, Ca. and teach a 2 day course in advanced robotic pelvic surgery. I couldn’t even get off the plane without a wheelchair. I managed to finish the course and return Friday night. An MRI on Saturday confirmed the rupture at L4 -L5.
Over the next 5 days I had 5 surgeries I had to do, as well as clinic. By that Wednesday, when I
Saw the doctor, I had already developed foot drop. He scheduled me for the next day. Immediately after the surgery the pain was completely relieved, however, over the next year I developed significant facet arthritis with low back pain. I couldn’t even put on my underwear without holding one hand on the counter. Making it through a day at work was a nightmare. I saw Dr. Donner for a stem Cell consult and was all in. He did the procedure right there. I felt very little pain during the procedure, but had a lot of back pain for about 2-3 days afterward. The pain dissipated to a large degree after that for about 3 days, then went back to baseline until 3 months out. All the sudden I would do something and not feel pain, like sneeze. At 6 months out I can honestly say my pain is at least 80% better. It’s now been almost 2 years and it truly continues to get better. I’m working out 5 days a per week and can do almost anything. Stem cells has been amazing and I’d recommend it to anyone, and have.
Thanks to The staff, Luc Koldewyn, and Dr. Donner I have my life back.
Sincerely,
John Crane MD— Dr. John Crane - Director of Robotic Surgery, Mckee Medical Center
I had stem cell therapy done with Dr. Donner and his incredible team in January. Lucanus Koldewyn was the first person I met and he was absolutely incredible. He gave me all the information I needed to feel totally confident in getting this done. He answered all my questions and was so generous with his time and energy. Once I met Dr. Donner, I knew that I was fully confident putting all my trust in them. The day of my procedure, I was so comforted by the incredible treatment room. It felt more like a place I would want to go vacation, than a place where I would be getting stem cell. They explained the entire process and made it so comfortable for me. I went into the procedure totally confident in this team and in my decision to get it done. I have had continuous support from the entire team since my procedure. They truly care about our experience, and about the success of the treatment. I recommend Colorado Spine institute wholeheartedly. This is the team you want looking after you! Thank you everyone for taking such great care of me. I am eternally grateful!!

My left hip was causing so much pain that walking was about the only activity in which I could engage. I visited my local orthopedic surgeon and after an MRI and X rays his diagnosis was that the hip joint was pretty torn up and surgery was needed to correct it. Not happy with this diagnosis, I began searching for alternatives. Stem cell treatment was suggested but finding a local practitioner with spine cell credentials was daunting. There were chiropractors for diagnosis, partnering with nurse practitioners for the injection. I rejected this option for reasons obvious to me.
Dr. Donner had treated my spine issues in the past. He has deep medical knowledge, skill of a top rated surgeon and state-of- the art medical equipment. I was aware that Dr. Donner also was performing spine cell treatments, called to schedule a consultation and was instructed to send MRI and X rays. Dr. Donner contacted me with the news that I was a good candidate for the spine cell treatment and could likely avoid surgery. I flew from the West Coast for a consultation and had the procedure done the same day.
The procedure was a smooth as anything could be. Dr. Donner and his Stem Cell Specialist Luc are a seamless team. Spine cells were taken from my right hip, treated and injected by Dr. Donner precisely where they were needed in my left hip joint using his skill and the latest imaging equipment. The results were amazing. All of the pain was gone within a week. My post- treatment instructions were to give my hip a rest so it could heal. It did and within a month I could resume all of my prior activities including two that I really missed—cycling and running. Given that I am 78 years old I could not have hoped for more. It has been two years now and I am still going strong. No problems with that hip—ever. I am running and riding and in the gym practically every day.

Health and wellness are a top priority for me. Being injured is not an option in my profession but thanks to regenerative stem cell treatment my knee and back feel strong and am now able to train pain-free. I highly recommend the team at Elite if you’re looking at a solution for body pain.
