Jan Gillespie, MD

Biography

Dr. Gillespie is board certified in both anesthesiology and pain management. She supports a multidisciplinary team approach in caring for patients with spine pain. She performs procedures to diagnosis facet joint disease, steroid injections and radiofrequency ablations to alleviate pain. Spine procedures are performed using fluoroscopy.

Dr. Gillespie has served the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) for the 15 years as a member of the Committee of Economics and as a delegate from the state of Colorado. She is Past President of the Colorado Society of Anesthesiologists and is currently on the Board of Directors and the Treasurer of Northern Colorado Medical Society.

Dr. Gillespie is the Executive and Medical Director for the Northern Colorado Individual Practice Association (NCIPA). NCIPA is a physician and allied health provider organization with 400 members in Northern Colorado.

Dr. Gillespie is the founder of Systems of Care Initiative, a community based 501(c)3 organization that provides advance care planning for people in Northern Colorado. Her personal journey with her family and friends has lead her vision to ensure everyone has the ability to have their voice heard during a medical crisis.

She is also the owner and President of CPS Healthcare Solutions, LLC (CPS). CPS
provides administrative services to medical practices, medically related businesses and to non profit organizations.

Besides her interest in medicine and the business of medicine, Dr. Gillespie and her husband, Robert Wagner, own and manage a biotech company, Gene Check, which does genetic testing for animals and basic research in mutation detection. They live in Northern Colorado on a cattle and sheep ranch and train and trial border collies.
